An Up-Close Interview with the Best Internist in North Carolina, Imran Haque

Doctors

Dr. Imran Haque practices internal medicine across seven unique locations in central North Carolina, earmarked by its small, rural feel. Haque felt drawn to the rural towns in the Southeastern United States after serving similar regions throughout his residency program at the University of Virginia, its home state bordering North Carolina, with both of the two regions sharing deeply similar characteristics.

Haque was stationed in a number of small towns and cities around Roanoke and Salem, both towns in Virginia, from 1998 to 2001. He quickly found that lots of people in these two towns, including surrounding areas, did not have access to quality care that people in larger areas or with higher average incomes. This revelation is how Dr. Imran Haque came to practice in North Carolina after immigrating from his home country of India.

This regionally-renowned medical doctor, known as one of the best internists – someone who practices internal medicine, a field similar to that of family medicine, focusing on preventing illnesses before they manifest themselves, or at least take thorough hold in patients’ bodies – in the entire state of North Carolina, not just in the small, rural, homey area of central North Carolina. Dr. Imran Haque recently allowed a journalist to interview him about some of the things he’s experienced in medicine, as well as a few things that he has learned throughout the past 15-plus years.

When asked, “How do [you] bring ideas to life,” Dr. Imran Haque shared that he didn’t get ideas from a special place, or from a dream, or some kind of revelation – instead, he accomplished his goals through hard work and due diligence. While some people feel that ideas for successful business practices come out of dreams or visions, or something similar, Dr. Imran Haque couldn’t disagree with that sentiment any more than he already does.

Dr. Haque feels that the integration of technological devices, software, and other tools into the practice of healthcare is great for the field as a whole. One application that Dr. Haque has benefited significantly from in respect to technology is the many cosmetic treatments he offers.
